Attends The Cooper Union Art School in Manhattan, New York, a prestigious college of art, architecture and engineering where he studies painting under Morris Kantor

1949 – 1950

Scholarship for summer study at the Skowhegan School for Painting and Sculpture in Maine, USA

1972

Guggenheim Fellowship

Cooper Union Professional Achievement Citation

Scholarship from the US-Government for an exchange program with the Soviet Union

Member of the American Academy and Institute of Arts and Letters

Voted as member of the National Academy of Design in New York
